Endre Hajnal is one of the true nature painters, as his great predecessors cultivated this genre. As if he understands the message of egrets, lures, and sparkling water mirrors, he almost responds to their call, developing his impressions from the outdoors into a painting. He speaks directly and freely in the rays of the sun about shining Balaton sailboats, brilliantly colored poppies, dahlias, irises. It is understandable that he too is enchanted by sunflowers, which makes his abilities suitable to respond to the suggestions of the great impressionist predecessors in a Hungarian way, but he is not satisfied with a few sunflowers, he conjures up a huge tableau of them with a row of lush trees , with a background that opens to distant horizons.”
